Alumapalooza 4 attendees donate $1,400 to local charity
The Fish Pond Food pantry of Jackson Center recently received a $1,400 donation from the attendees of Alumapalooza 4. Here’s the press release issued by the pantry:
“… This was the fourth year Jackson Center has hosted “Alumapalooza” and each year the rally attendees have given back to the community.
Brett Greiveldinger, rally co-coordinator stated, “It is very important to the attendees that they give something back to the communities in which the rallies are held. This donation to the food pantry, raised via an on-site auction, is our way of sharing our blessings with those who may not be so blessed.”
The Fish Pond Food Pantry, a joint project of Immaculate Conception and St Lawrence Catholic Churches, Grace Lutheran Church, Montra Lutheran Parrish, Botkins United Methodist Church, Maplewood United Methodist Church and Jackson Center United Methodist Church is open to the residents of Jackson Center, Montra, Botkins and Maplewood. It is a free choice pantry and is operational the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, at 210 Davis Street in Jackson Center. “
This was primarily proceeds from the Charity Auction we held during Alumapalooza 4, in addition to money raised by Charon Henning & Alex Kensington by their “Sideshow Arts” demonstration of sword-swallowing and other feats. Thanks to everyone who donated!
